Getting started
What is PharmaDrills?
PharmaDrills is a pharmacology training platform with focused lessons and available Smart Drills for retrieval and clinical application. Assessment feedback, weak-area practice and AI Tutor review support further study. Practice availability varies by course and lesson.
Who is it for?
Medical, nursing, pharmacy and allied-health students; practicing prescribers and other professionals involved in medication use; pharmaceutical and clinical researchers; and experienced learners who want to refresh or strengthen their pharmacology foundation.
Why should I start with Module 1?
Module 1 — General Principles of Pharmacology — is the foundation for the planned ten-module curriculum. Its five courses cover how a dose becomes exposure (pharmacokinetics), how exposure produces a response (pharmacodynamics), why people respond differently (pharmacogenomics and therapeutic drug monitoring) and how medication-related harm is recognized and reported (medication safety). Later modules build on these principles. We recommend the order shown, but every course is open from the start, so experienced learners can go straight to the areas they want to review.
Is Module 1 useful for pharmaceutical or clinical research?
Yes, as a foundation. Exposure–response relationships, sources of variability, interpretation of pharmacology information and safety assessment matter in pharmaceutical and clinical research as well as in clinical care. Module 1 teaches these principles and gives you practice applying them. It is an educational resource — not training in research methods or regulatory requirements.
Is Module 1 free, and is a credit card required?
Yes. Module 1 — General Principles of Pharmacology — contains five courses and is free during our launch, and registration asks for no payment information.
What’s included in the free trial?
- All five courses in Module 1
- Lessons and the Smart Drills available in each course
- Instant scoring, explanations and weak-area practice
- AI Tutor review after completed assessments
- Progress tracking across your courses
The Drug Database is not part of the free trial — it’s included with Founding Member — Early Access.
Is the Drug Database included?
The searchable Drug Database is included with Founding Member — Early Access. It isn’t part of the free PharmaDrills Trial.
What happens after I register?
Your account is created straight away and you can open the Module 1 courses. We suggest starting with Introduction to Clinical Pharmacology — your first clinical drill is in Lesson 4.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. PharmaDrills runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers — no app to install.
Training method
What is a Smart Drill?
A Smart Drill is an available lesson-linked practice question or assessment. You receive a score and answer explanation to help identify concepts that need further review.
How do Smart Drills connect assessment with learning?
Smart Drills connect questions with relevant lesson concepts. Assessment results identify missed concepts and inform weak-area practice using available course questions. This formative assessment cycle helps you plan review and another attempt.
What is deliberate practice?
Deliberate practice uses a clearly defined task, specific feedback and repeated attempts to improve performance. PharmaDrills draws on these principles through focused pharmacology questions, corrective explanations and review of missed concepts. See the practice loop.
How does weak-area practice work?
After an assessment identifies missed concepts, PharmaDrills recommends practice in that focus area using available course questions. Review the relevant lesson and explanation, then reassess your understanding.
What does the AI Tutor do?
After a completed assessment, the AI Tutor can explain the reasoning behind a missed question using the relevant lesson content and point you to the section to review. It’s a study aid, not a clinical reference.
Content and educational scope
Who creates the content?
Courses are developed and led by Dr. Reza Anari, PharmD, MSc, PhD — pharmacologist, pharmaceutical scientist and educator.
Does PharmaDrills replace textbooks, lectures or clinical judgment?
No. It adds a practice layer to your studies. Your curriculum, authoritative references, instructors, clinical guidelines and professional judgment remain essential. Read the educational disclaimer.
Will more courses be added?
Yes. Module 1 is available now; further modules are in development and will use the same practice system.
